Wired Gigs - Sound Engineers

Have you ever thought of the one who handles or the one behind the background score of a singer?
A song cannot be famous only because of the singer or its lyrics but a major role is played by the sound engineers the backhand or the enhancers of all these famous singers.

An audio engineer is concerned with the recording, manipulation, mixing and reproduction of sound. Many audio engineers creatively use technologies to produce sound for film, radio, television, music, electronic products and computer games. Alternatively, the term audio engineer can refer to a scientist or professional engineer who holds a B.Sc. or M.Sc. who designs, develops and builds new audio technologies working within the field of acoustical engineering.

Sound Engineers set up and operate audio and video equipment, including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, and recording equipment. They also connect wires and cables and set up and operate sound and mixing boards and related electronic equipment for concerts, sports events, meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferences.  Sound engineering technicians operate machines and equipment to record, synchronise, mix, or reproduce music, voices, or sound effects in recording studios, sporting arenas, theatre productions, or movie and video productions.  Technology stations such as Sound Engineering, Video Editing, and Intro to Music introduce students to the field of Sound Engineering.

As such they are like the spinal cord of a singer.

It is not one of the ‘MOST PREFERRED’ jobs but yes…. It’s one of the most sought jobs. As these types are many do not pursue jobs.
A heck of skills is needed to manage all those geeky equipment's. In live events or concerts they are the most important person in the hall who has everything in his hand right from the Monitors to Speakers to Reproduction of music and so on.

Sound engineering is also one of the jobs in which a person can earn a lot not just because the people with these jobs are rare but also because this job is not easy to perform at all. They should have sound technical knowledge with a strong base in video editing and manipulating with sound.
