Nasty Battles : Dawn of the war-era

Yeah we know! Allies won the 1st world war and defeated Germany. Japan attacked the US of A and got quite a bit of spanking for it during the 2nd. Then there's the Cold War and the Indo-Pak war and oh! hpw can we forget The Indo-China war. The list is quite long. It really is.

The world has written eulogies about the war victims and has lashed out at the warring nations but, right now, in January 2015, we at the Rotaract Club of NM College, are least bothered about it.

And isn't it justified?!


There are battles emerging at every corner and the fighters are falling short of expletives to fire at each other! Believe us, it's a bloodbath out there.

Out there, on our streets, Slytherins have vowed to flaunt their pure blood in the face of Gryffindors. George R. R. Martin and JRR Tolkein have pulled back their sleeves and are ready for the word 'go'! Paul McCartney and John Lennon are in a skirmish (again). And music lovers, world over, are rooting for the abandonment of JB and his Beliebers!

No, we aren't exaggerating! Not ready to believe us? Well well, we have made up our mind. Here's the deal, we stay neutral and we give you sansanaati khabar from our Nasty Battles.

The adrenaline rush is just too much! Wonder who'd prevail..

The Mentalist

The Mentalist is a very interesting show about a man named Patrick Jean, a former psychic who has the ability to "read" peoples minds . He uses these same skills to work with the FBI, and helps them catch criminals. In return he also wants their aid in catching the person who killed his wife and daughter. The peculiar thing about this show is the wa y he use s h is ability to think in absurd ways helps him solve crimes. Putting himself in the shoes of the criminal and predicting the criminal's next move, as well as using a "mind palace" to store all important facts and  evidence of the case, are just a few of the things that he does. Patrick's ability to think in the most absurd fashion and come up with the most crazy reasons as to how a person can be caught or proven guilty is interesting. Nasty Battles #9 - Last benchers Vs first benchers

The classification - There are 2 kinds of students in a class- the outstanding ones and the others who are always standing out of the class. The former being the face of the class and the latter being the backbone. Idiosyncrasies - If a doubt is being asked in the class, the nerds frantically scan the textbooks for the answer while the other ‘chilled out’ kind is like “Just 5 minutes left for the lecture to climax ;)". The first benchers wish to get a degree to get a job (in hope of a ‘bright’ future) while the last benchers consider Facebook as their present and also their future (Who cares if it’s bright or not!?). The former crowd will always be on time, never call in a sick and would LOVE to work overtime (and basically salsa to the teachers’ rhythm).
