Whispers Never Heard

"When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers it's halloween."

Here we are, back with two deadly characters. We know all of you here are well acquainted with these characters. We hereby are going to compare the evil residing in us with such infamous characters.

We've seen a lot of web series and movies and heard of many stories about witches.  They're crafty, devious and cunning, aren't they? Not every witch is evil, likewise not every living person is bad. Let's see what we find out about ourselves when we dive deep into the customs of witches.

Witches are magicians, who are able to cast spells. They are profoundly known for their curses and deadly spells. Witches are keen to gain control over arcane. They’ll go out of their ways to solve the untold mysteries and secrets. Similarly, we humans, by wrong means, find out someone's weaknesses and then we use it against them, to prove to them that we are the best. When a person is weak and vulnerable, he is in a state where people will hurt him and he’ll let them do it. Knowing someone's weakness doesn’t make you a demon, but how you go with the piece of information is what defines your character as an angel or a devil.

Witches practice black magic. Black magic is very dark and leads to unimaginable destinations. So does jealousy and hatred. Witches are well aware about the use of black magic and its consequences, yet they practice and once done it becomes a necessity for them. Likewise, when we are jealous of someone because we have flaws and they don’t, we know we aren't supposed to accuse them for their perfection but we have to embrace our flaws, we still get insecure and start hating them even though we shouldn’t and slowly it becomes an element of our life and we are more and more jealous even for small things.

Witches create an illusion, an illusion where they show us things that are unrealistic and absurd, but the aura is so strong that we are forced to believe that it's true. Similarly, the society has various notions and weird beliefs which we have to agree with. Not all but some of these beliefs are totally absurd and make no sense, yet we being a part of society are ordered to believe them. If a person doesn’t follow the notions, he is declared as a social outcast. The young generation is battling this evil since very long but to no avail. It has now become a desperate need for us to conform to it, follow the so called standards rather then breaking the shackles and setting each soul free, to be the person they are.

When witches cast a spell, they make people do things and convince them that it is the correct thing for them to do, they posses a person’s mind and then make them act as they want. Even we manipulate people. We convince them to think from a certain point of view, whereas we’ll never put ourselves in their shoes. We make them believe that our perception is correct and what they think is wrong. Manipulation most of the time makes a person think from some other perspective but his own which is just like possessing over someone’s mind and making them your puppets.Manipulating someone is an evil thing, be it for a good reason or bad because when we manipulate others we eliminate their opinions, erase their creativity and make them question themselves. We snatch their freedom of thought and that is the evil about it.

Isn’t that like a character sketch about witches? Meanwhile actually a childhood memory of a circus show came flashing in the mind. Well, aren't clowns funny? Of course, they are. But with their artificial heavy make-up and their queer ability to mask their original persona so perfectly behind a flashing smile, don't they seem a little scary? Absolutely, they do, and a lot. Clowns -some are fanatic about them while some are Coulrophobic.

Clowns are infamous for pranking and playing tricks on others as the main form of their entertaining business. They do this to earn a living for their family. Humans play tricks on others - friends, family, colleagues, enemies - to earn their own ego and domination. People can often be heard saying that jokes should be taken as jokes; there's nothing serious about it. Sometimes, however, the jokes get too practical, mean, humiliating, and offensive. Sometimes people like to throw insults at another person and call it a joke, which serves their evil purpose of demeaning others but offends others.Well, it is what it is a taunt and not a joke, and in such a way taking undue advantage of even the smallest of things, people leave no stone unturned to push the other person down.

It is essential for clowns to do anything in their capacity to be the highlight of the show. They have to perform things way out of their comfort zone to grab people's attention and hold it till the end. Some people like to go above and beyond their capacity to make promises they know they will never be able to fulfil. They exhaust themselves over and over in front of certain people who can benefit them in some way. They go raving about all great things they can do, when in the heart, they know it's not the truth. All comes down to one reason: they do it to please someone who can give them something they want (financially, professionally, physically, emotionally). They don't know how to be true to themselves which proves to be evil for people who are genuine but don't know how to sugarcoat things.

Some clowns are known to be selfish; they lack empathy and understanding of someone else's struggles. All they want to do is perform their act, make people laugh, and earn for their set, no matter whose feelings get in the way. This trait resonates with humans. Some people get seriously hurt by the words being said to them out of lack of empathy. Taking care of oneself is extremely important, but dragging and stepping on people's feelings on the way out of no apparent reason is pure evil.

Clowns are always behind that heavy make-up, they are known for that face and not for the one they actually are. They never ever move out of their character to express what’s beyond. They hide a thousand lies, a thousand secrets and thousand bruises but nobody ever can actually see the clown crying behind the happy face they wear. People would say that’s not evil, definitely it is. Cause above all it is evil to oneself, it is self destructive. Some might call it selfless, no it isn’t, it is mere negligence of self care. So are we humans wearing a fake smile, a loud laughter and gleaming eyes, they are often mistaken to be gleaming because of happiness, but they are because of the small tear waiting to roll down the cheeks, and living a happily ever after life. We forget that it all starts within us, it’s not just the clowns and witches who are evil, we are also evil doing wrong to ourselves knowingly or unknowingly.

It's rather sad that we found such similarities between us and the evil, and that most of us would relate to some of them. Changing the world's heart would be pretty tedious, but changing oneself is wholesome. We should all try that to become more gentle and kind, and kill the evil inside us, once and for all.Evil can’t be defeated it has to be altered into good by us.
