Post 3 : The 100 layers challenge 

The 100 Layers of Stupidity Challenge
Over the past few months, the internet has been obsessed with the 100 Layers Challenge which started harmlessly enough in the form of #polishmountain by youtuber Simply Nailogical. But the internet is an attention-seeking leech churning out dumb videos in the hopes of going viral and this challenge did just that. From makeup layers to glitter to wax, this challenge went all out.

After 100 layers of highlight and foundation:
Mt. Everest move aside there’s a new mountain in town. #polishmountain :P
And if goopy, sticky mess of furry lashes, caked-on foundation and problematic fake tan isn’t your thing try eating 100 pieces of gum or drinking 100 bottles of booze. Even the Nyan Cat video is better than this challenge and that’s saying something.

Claustrophobia in a nutshell :/

               The challenge which takes hours, depending on the layers you’re putting on, is insane! Wasting so much time putting on so many layers of product just to remove it at the end of the day and a 12 min video which everyone is going to skim through anyways is just stupid.I know that sometimes the internet can go a little crazy (biggest understatement) and people blindly follow the trend so that they can go to sleep peacefully knowing that they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING USEFUL and also so that they don’t experience FOMO! 😒

Challenges like these just go to show how the internet will go to extreme lengths to get 5 minutes of fame without understanding that it’s a complete waste of time. The wastage of product is also a big minus of this trend. I mean if you’re going to put wax all over your body or slapping layers of foundation, aren’t you worried about side effects it may cause? Putting copious amounts or dangerous products which can harm your skin in the name of a challenge is what bugs me the most. It just influences the youth to do crazy shit which can leave them in a hospital bed. And for what? 5 mins of fame? No thanks, I’ll pass.

You know those weird videos we watch on tumblr sometimes that leave you wondering WTF did I watch? Yeah, file this challenge under that long list. In conclusion, however dumb these challenges might be the internet ain’t stopping anytime soon so might as well sit back, bring some popcorn and procrastinate on studies by watching these bizarre challenges and contemplate your life choices.

The Mentalist

The Mentalist is a very interesting show about a man named Patrick Jean, a former psychic who has the ability to "read" peoples minds . He uses these same skills to work with the FBI, and helps them catch criminals. In return he also wants their aid in catching the person who killed his wife and daughter. The peculiar thing about this show is the wa y he use s h is ability to think in absurd ways helps him solve crimes. Putting himself in the shoes of the criminal and predicting the criminal's next move, as well as using a "mind palace" to store all important facts and  evidence of the case, are just a few of the things that he does. Patrick's ability to think in the most absurd fashion and come up with the most crazy reasons as to how a person can be caught or proven guilty is interesting. Nasty Battles #9 - Last benchers Vs first benchers

The classification - There are 2 kinds of students in a class- the outstanding ones and the others who are always standing out of the class. The former being the face of the class and the latter being the backbone. Idiosyncrasies - If a doubt is being asked in the class, the nerds frantically scan the textbooks for the answer while the other ‘chilled out’ kind is like “Just 5 minutes left for the lecture to climax ;)". The first benchers wish to get a degree to get a job (in hope of a ‘bright’ future) while the last benchers consider Facebook as their present and also their future (Who cares if it’s bright or not!?). The former crowd will always be on time, never call in a sick and would LOVE to work overtime (and basically salsa to the teachers’ rhythm).
