Escapade

 My journey till date wouldn't do justice if I compared it to a simple roller coaster ride. We've all been through ups and downs no doubt in that, but I would like to relate my journey with that of a local train.

You see, in order to alight at the right station at the right time, you have to push your way through others in order to reach your destination. There are times when you're lucky enough to find little chaos in the train compartment. You find the crowd filling in with every succeeding station that you pass by. Well, life relates in its own mysterious ways, doesn't it?

Initially, it made everything look so easy and comfortable whilst we were in school. We were more lively and cheerful worrying less about what the future had in store for us. But as time passed by, we witnessed how slowly everything in life became a part of a race, a race that started way back in time, right since we took birth on this planet.

A race with a never-ending loop that has much more to offer, much more to showcase, much more to live for, and much more to finally escape through the right exit. At the right station.

So here I am, standing or maybe running?

Finally, now in Mumbai. If you told the 16-year-old Yash, that yes you indeed are going to stay in Bombay, He would have either cried or straight away denied it.

So here I am pushing, facing everything, that this life has to offer, waiting to get of at the right station.

Black Lives Matter

'There comes a time when silence is betrayal'.   -Martin Luther King .  To where it all started… Let's go back in time to the year 2013- The year 2013 which has made all difference by celebrating the acknowledgment of the existence of black lives, when the never answered injustice in the form of racism was questioned. Black lives matter is the world famous movement which signifies the contribution of the black folks in the society. The movement came to life against the white supremacy because of the deadly oppression and the brutal behaviour faced by the black race community. The movement black lives matter focuses on changing the mindset of racists that there is no black-white, African-American, the only race is Human race.   A feminist is anyone who recognizes the equality and full humanity of women and men. Gloria Steinem. Feminism not a one way concept, a wide spectrum…       Feminism – an eight-letter word which has shaped the beliefs of all of the human-kind, which has kept the connotation of ‘feminism’ as the advocacy of women’s rights the grounds of the equality of the sexes. Through this piece, I’d like to share my notion about this sentiment, seeking to establish parallel ‘hope’, ‘freedom’, ‘space’, ‘contingency’ and ‘cut’ through a male prospect.
