Post 5: Say Something Challenge  Is it an itch to accept challenges? Or is it an abundance of time due to procrastination? Can mere access to the internet be enough reason? Which one is it really, that compels us to try the most meaningless and unproductive ‘challenges’ and then to wilfully embarrass ourselves by letting numerous others witness our stupidity by putting it on social media? The ‘Say Anything Challenge’ is taking over the internet by its apparent simplicity and well, the herd mentality. All you need is two sets of tongues and brains and you’re good to go. The rule of this challenge is singular: Say a word when it is your turn and don’t repeat. The word doesn’t need to be correlated to your previous word or to the one the other person just said. It’s just random words and no waiting to think them. The catch? You get to stick a piece of tape on the face of the person who stutters and stumbles over a word or repeats it. Fun, right? Post 3 : The 100 layers challenge  The 100 Layers of Stupidity Challenge Over the past few months, the internet has been obsessed with the 100 Layers Challenge which started harmlessly enough in the form of #polishmountain by youtuber Simply Nailogical. But the internet is an attention-seeking leech churning out dumb videos in the hopes of going viral and this challenge did just that. From makeup layers to glitter to wax, this challenge went all out. After 100 layers of highlight and foundation: Mt. Everest move aside there’s a new mountain in town. #polishmountain :P And if goopy, sticky mess of furry lashes, caked-on foundation and problematic fake tan isn’t your thing try eating 100 pieces of gum or drinking 100 bottles of booze. Post 1 : The one and the only - ICE BUCKET CHALENGE Being a millennial, the internet rules our lives. There are sayings like “The internet never forgives” or “The internet is all that is just”.  But come on! As I see it, stupidity is that one tiny bug which can slowly make it’s way on to anything - even the UNFORGIVABLE EVER-SUPREME INTERNET.  And talking about stupidity online, the first thing that pops in my mind is this - Feeling nostalgic? Yeah me too! These, and thousands of such videos exist on the internet as “The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge”. The rules are simple - Drop a bucket full of ice water on your head within 24 hours or make a financial donation, after which, you can elect someone else to do it.  And everyone, literally everyone who is even remotely on social media - from celebrities to school-teachers, accepted this challenge.  And suddenly, it became the "next in-thing".  “Hey bro, did you do the Ice bucket challenge?” ...
