So I am a feminist and that doesn't stop me from letting men drop me home. Why would it when we have people with mentalities like the Haryana khap panchayat roaming around. I am scared for myself. Yes, the right advice is for women to not disregard their safety, to learn self defense, to make smart decisions. It is pouring cats and dogs. You don’t have an umbrella (it always rains, when you don’t have one). And why should you have one in OCTOBER? (Nature and its mysterious ways, we will never understand!) You are trying to protect yourself from the heavy downpour with your tiny little bag and begging for a rickshaw to take you home. You feel the urge to curse everyone. The thing you hate most at the moment is the suave cars passing by splashing water on you as if mocking you. Some rickshaws just pass by, not bothering to even look around. And then one of them stops. A “jhund” of people rush (from god knows where) for that one. All of us beg. But the snob refuses to hear our pleas. Meri Marzi! :P Have you seen his arrogance?
